Today, I am going to talk about a great scientist, a wonderful teacher, and a beloved Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Introduction: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in a small town called Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, India. He came from a very humble background. His father was a boat owner and his mother was a housewife.
Education and Career: Despite facing many hardships, Dr. Kalam was a brilliant student. He was very interested in science and mathematics. After completing his education, he joined the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and later the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He played a key role in India's missile program.
The Missile Man of India: Dr. Kalam was known as the Missile Man of India because of his contributions to the development of ballistic missile and space rocket technology in India. He was the project director of India's first satellite launch vehicle, SLV-III, which successfully deployed the Rohini satellite in near-earth orbit.
The People's President: In 2002, Dr. Kalam became the President of India. He was known as the People's President because he was loved by everyone, especially children. He was always eager to meet and talk to young people, encouraging them to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.
His Legacy: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was not just a great scientist and leader, but also a great human being. He believed in the power of education and dreams. He always said, "Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep."
Conclusion: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015, but he will always remain in our hearts as an inspiration to millions of people, especially children, all around the world. He taught us to dream, to work hard, and to never give up on our dreams.
